Loop Band Strength Training
Beginner

6 session course - $125

  • This class is designed and run by doctors of physical therapy from Dawn Thomas Physical Therapy.

  • This class is structured with a stretching and breathing warm up followed by an educational component, specific strengthening exercises with loop band or no equipment resistance.

  • Circuit style will be used.

  • Each educational piece is science backed, focused on the importance of strength training at every stage of life and what you can do to improve your STRENGTH to live well.

  • You will develop an understanding of your personal functional strength status and what you can do to improve your strength. Let’s live well together.
     

Bring: Loop bands if you have them, wear comfortable clothing, bring a yoga mat if you are able to get up and down from the floor. There will be modifications if you are more comfortable sitting or standing. 

You can purchase loop bands used in class for $15.

Intermediate will be structured with slightly more difficult moves than the beginner with the same format.

Better Balance = Better Life

6 session course - $125

What you will get:

  • Six progressive classes developed and led by a physical therapist with expertise in balance training.

  • Folder with handouts for all six weeks of exercises and training drills for carry over at home.

  • Functional Assessments done for you to track your progress with balance training.

  • Class format is walking warm up, educational piece about the week's topic, exercise and drills new each week, cool down and or stretching to conclude class.

  • Topics covered include; How posture can affect balance, How strength can affect balance, how ankle mobility and strength can affect balance, What are balance strategies? And more…

  • You will be empowered to know your balance status, your fall risk and know how to improve.

New Sessions Starting in January - Running on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12-1

Registration is for either Tuesday Series or Thursday Series.
